        Regen on Demand allows drivers to control the vehicle's regenerative braking system. By pulling the paddle on the steering wheel, drivers can activate regenerative braking to recapture energy and extend the vehicle's range. This offers more flexibility and control over your electric driving experience.

        Regenerative braking
        Regenerative braking helps recharge your battery every time you slow down. Instead of wasting energy that heats during braking, the system converts it into electricity and stores it back in the battery. Choose from 3 levels of regenerative braking:
        • Strong: Provides noticeable slowing and maximizes energy recovery — ideal for One-Pedal Driving.
        • Normal: Offers a balanced, comfortable feel with efficient energy recovery.
        • Weak: Feels similar to traditional braking with minimal slowing — great for a more familiar driving experience but recovers less energy.

        Slow down and stop your vehicle while using only the accelerator pedal under most conditions. So, say hello to an energy-efficient, easier drive as you don't have to switch back and forth between pedals.

        • Charging5 your battery to 80% for daily use and regenerative braking
        • Longer trips require a charge above 80%
        • DC Fast Charging slows down as the battery fills up, so stop at 80%
        • Keep the vehicle plugged in where possible to condition the battery for optimal performance.

        In fact, Chevrolet EV vehicles are subjected to the most extreme weather testing around the world to ensure the combination of GM’s bespoke electric motors, power electronics, and controllers for current generation perform flawlessly in any condition.

        What happens when the battery runs out? Will I be stranded?

        Like any vehicle, running out of power will require roadside support. Your EV provides multiple warnings as the battery starts to run low. Use Google Built-In2 and myChevrolet App1 to help you locate nearby charging stations and plan your routes for a more convenient journey.

        How do I find someone to install my home charger?

        Each Chevrolet EV purchase comes equipped with a 7kW home wallbox charger4.  We would also be happy to connect you with a professionally approved ABB installer to install it for you. Share your details on through our Installation Page Form and a professional installer will get back to you in 72 hours. Or contact your local dealer if you would prefer.​

        What are the different ways to charge?

        Level 1: Charge anywhere with the 3-prong outlet. This home charging5 option is available for some vehicles, as it gives you enough to cover an average daily commute.
        Level 2: The fastest way to charge at home is with a 240V outlet. Chevrolet offers a 7kW wall box4, with an installation performed at an extra cost by our professional providers. Level 2 is available at public charging stations too and can cover the distance of an average daily commute. Enjoy waking up to a full charge!
        Level 3: DC Fast Charging – this accelerated charging occurs while you’re away from home. This option is available at public charging stations only. Use your Google Maps feature in the myChevrolet App1to find a local charging station.

        How much maintenance costs are required?

        EVs do not require oil changes, transmission flushes, an engine belt and air filter replacements, nor spark plugs for you to service. And with features like regenerative braking or One-Pedal Driving6, you can even see reduced wear on your EV's brakes.​

        How long does the battery warranty last?

        Do all your EVs come with Wi-Fi?
