FRONT END SAFETY

​FORWARD COLLISION ALERT

Using camera technology, this available advanced feature alerts you to slowing vehicles detected in your path. Drivers can set the following front distance indicator to far, medium, near or off.

​​FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING

If a collision with a pedestrian directly ahead is imminent and the driver has not already applied the brakes, this available system alerts the driver and can automatically apply the brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity or possibly avoid it altogether.​

​LOW SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING

When the Chevrolet Traverse is traveling below 80km/h and the system senses that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, this available feature automatically applies the brakes to potentially help reduce the severity of impact. It may even help avoid a collision altogether at very low speeds.​

​LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

If you unintentionally drift from your lane without using your turn signal, available Lane Keep Assist provides alerts and gentle steering wheel turns to help you get your vehicle back in place if you don’t take action. It will provide lane departure alerts when lane markings are crossed.​

FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING

If the system detects that a front-end collision situation is imminent, and the driver has not already applied the brakes, this available system automatically applies the brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity.

BACK END SAFETY​

As you shift into reverse, the standard rear vision camera automatically displays a live image of the area behind your vehicle on the Chevrolet Infotainment 3¹​.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

This available technology utilizes radar sensors to monitor approaching traffic passing behind the vehicle and alerts you through the standard rear vision camera screen.

​LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT

This available technology provides side mirror alerts to warn you when other vehicles are in your blind zones, helping you avoid a collision when you’re performing a lane change maneuver.​

REAR PARK ASSIST

Using ultrasonic sensors, available Rear Park Assist senses stationary objects and warns you if an object is too close. Guiding lines on the rear vision camera screen help when backing up.

REAR CAMERA MIRROR

This available technology allows the rearview mirror surface to double as a video screen, providing the driver with a wider, less obstructed field of view behind the vehicle.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

It’s cruise control, only better. This available feature automatically maintains a driver-selected distance from the vehicle in front of you — even during slowing traffic.

INTELLIBEAM® HEADLAMPS

This available technology automatically switches on the high beams when driving conditions become too dark and switches back to low beams when it detects another vehicle’s headlamps or tail lamps.
